Batch Code Explainer

Our preserves, pickles and syrups are coded with an 8-digit batch code that also serves as a "best by" date. 

 

Month is represented with 2 numbers with 01 meaning January and 12 meaning December. The month that is represented is the month that the batch is being made in at Quince and Apple’s production plant at 931 E Main St. Suite 6 Madison, WI 53703

Day is represented with 2 numbers with 01 meaning the 1st of the month and 25 meaning the 25th of the month.

Year is represented with 2 numbers corresponding to the last two digits of the year. The year that is represented is the year two years from the current year that the batch is being made.  This year is selected to represent a suggested "best if used" by date.  

Product is represented with a single letter, A-Z.
